Atlanta United Traffic Report #009

What do you do to combat the spread of bad content? Make some bad content of your own. Fight fire with fire as they say.

This edition of the podcast sucks and I'm sorry you have to listen to it but sometimes you got to talk things out, alone in a car, with a lapel mic.

Ways to get banned and kicked out of Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta United games

The Other United (DC) did a thing and their Twitter was up in arms today.  Here's the best recap of what the club did to a member of the District Ultras supporters group.

If the Other United is now so decidedly protective of crap RFK Stadium, what's the Atlanta United brass going to crack down on Terminus Legion, Footie Mob and Resurgence over and ban fans from entering the brand new Mercedes-Benz Stadium? Will it be over crazy tailgates or in-game antics?

Maybe these things:

Drinking a Pepsi

Calling fellow fans "plastic"

Smoke emitting from receptacle not containing meat

Bringing up Pro/Rel at the urinals

Not understanding a Freaknik reference

Debating any positive merits of referee Baldomero Toledo

No, you can't wear a Drew Brees jersey

Saying Atlanta United should have moved to Cobb County with the Braves

Freddy Adu & Drew Carey 2 Podcast s02e04

New US Soccer crest. Atlanta United supporters group had some get togethers. There some player news over with the Charleston Battery. Oh hey, season tickets.

MLS Fantasy season is upon us. Be prepared for annoying talk around that.

Freddy Adu has not had much preseason time on the field, even against his former teams.

Drew Carey gets a new girlfriend, we find out how he lost his virginity and we met the devil.

Who should we hate? An Atlanta United guide to rivals

For whom does the hate bell toll?

A Dirty South Soccer article brought up the potential of current NASL team, the Carolina RailHawks, as a future MLS rival as the league has shown interest in expanding post-2020.

As a North Carolina transplant and UNC grad, I would be all for this. I have friends in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area and would appreciate the rivalry.

But it's just too far to make sense. Raleigh and Atlanta don't have a natural rivalry or mutual respect for each other.

Charlotte Independence before a Raleigh-based team would be more accurate. Charlotte is also already in USL so that potential jump may happen before a RailHawks move could.

What about other potential nemesis suitors?

Orlando City SC

It just feels like they already think they are better than us (Atlanta United).

And because purple is so unique and looks so good on the pitch, it in turn makes me hate them more.

They also have the most boring, exciting, expensive player in Kaka. He's too damn genuine to hate which makes me hate him even more.

And, Brek Shea, like, wat m8? I want you on a team I cheer for because you are a ridiculous human yet until then I must hate you.

But Beckham United will eventually happen forcing the Florida MLS rivalry of Miami with OCSC.

Minnesota United

They (Minnesota United) have to be pissed that Atlanta stole their name and were slated to come in earlier than they were.

Now with them most likely joining in 2017 it's premade for a rivalry.

Distance and separate conferences will stand in the way of that though.

DC United

DC seems more natural of a rivalry with Raleigh for some reason then all the way down to Atlanta.

Might be in the same boat as Minnesota with us stealing name and all and being in the same conference.

DC united is too busy with Red Bulls New York though.

Atlanta Silverbacks

If it were up to Atlanta Ultras we'd just hate each other. These guys are more exhausting than Pro/Rel Twitter.

Freddy Adu & Drew Carey 2 Podcast s01e08

The best Atlanta United podcast no one listens to returns.

Freddy Adu is back getting PT with the Tampa Bay Rowdies so we skipped ahead of the normal, inconsistent recording to drop a Friday episode.

Atlanta United fans have continued to pop up new supporters groups, like Resurgence.

MLS Fantasy is winding down and Wild Cards should not be this hard.

Drew and Lisa really need to get their shit together as we near the end of season one of The Drew Carey Show.

American Outlaws debut Outkast tifo in Atlanta during Gold Cup

Yeah, the result was a bit of a bummer, but the US Men's National Team's return to the A after decades away at least gave us a dope tifo.

The American Outlaws Atlanta chapter unfurled the Outkast Stankonia inspired banner featuring Gyazi Zardes as Big Boi and Mix Diskerud as Andre 3000 at the Gold Cup semifinal vs. Jamaica.

Maybe Atlanta will get to host another USMNT game in the future.
