Fantasy MLS was dealt a blow this week when Yahoo decided to pull the plug on its Fantasy MLS leagues with no warning. It's cool though, Tommy Wears Copas is strictly MLSSoccer.com.
We're trying to stay positive. Like every week, Round 7 could have gone better but TWC was 14 points over the average. Moved up basically into the top 25 percentile as well.
Can't defend transfers for Round 8. Finally had space to drop Adam Bedell ($4.5M) for someone who may actually play, like Dominique Badji ($4.5M). Of course waited until Badji was questionable with a hamstring injury to do that though. Still a good move. Prefer more guaranteed minutes from Badji than Khiry Shelton or Cyle Larin.
The other transfer was to quit Tyrone Mears ($6.8M) and pick up youngster Matt Miazga ($5.6M). Miazga was out playing for the USMNT U-20s when I did this and didn't even notice. He is supposed to be back for Sundays game, however, and the Red Bulls do have that DGW soon.
Currently thinking this week will be a 4-4-2 but that's always up for debate. Needing Adi to step up.
