So the Double Game Weeks of the Vancouver Whitecaps and Columbus Crew SC didn't go quite as planned.
Sam Adekugbe over Pa-Modou Kah looked good until with Kah on the bench for the midweek game. Then another defender for Vancouver came off injured early and Kah came on. Kah also got the start on the weekend when Adekugbe rested.
Got brave and plugged in Will Trapp when I saw he got a start midweek. He came off at half, didn't play on the weekend and is now being monitored for concussion symptoms and other things.
Wish Trapp well, but he got dropped. NYC FC and Philadelphia Union have DGW this round but outside of David Villa and maybe former Tommy Wears Copas member Mix Diskerud there wasn't much guarantee from either team.
Dropped Adekugbe with Trapp. Picked up NYC FC defender Jeb Brovsky for $6.1M and DC mid Davy Arnaud for $6.6M.
Both these guys might not be the best options in on their squads but their prices were right and they are almost guaranteed to start. Both Brovsky and Arnaud have played every minute for NY and DC and DC has DGWs in week 11 and 13, so I don't have to worry about swapping them out.
