Major League Sucker - Fantasy MLS Week 6

A frustrating week of late scratches and byes yet Tommy Wears Copas still outscored the league average of 43 points.

Won't dwell on the misses in Round 5, but LA Galaxy coach Bruce Arena obviously feels the same way about Dan Gargan as I do.

First move for Week 6 was dropping the LA defender to clear up about $7M. Round 6 sees Columbus and Vancouver on a Double Game Week so for $6.1M TWC picked up Whitecaps defender Sam Adekugbe (21 pts). It was a toss-up between Adekugbe and other Vancouver Whitecaps backline member Pa-Modou Kah who scores better but was a bit more expensive. Wanted to save the extra cash for an extra midfielder.

Trying to look ahead and see Lloyd Sam of the New York Red Bulls coming off a bye and with a DGW in Round 8. Drop underperforming Perry Kitchen ($7.5M, 11 pts) and swipe Sam ($8.7M, 20 pts). Of course, NYRB and DCU play again this week so we'll see how gets the best of that matchup.

Real dilemma is having Will Trapp. Trapp sat out the last Columbus Crew SC game in Round 4 but had a bye last week to rest. Really want to use him in DGW but hesitant to start immediately without knowing injury issue. Will have to be watching Twitter for updates.
